The Former Rain and the Latter Rain

Joel 2:23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

There are so many things I learn from the Bible. In our world, I just see the rain whenever it comes. I did not know that there was a former rain and a latter rain. According to the dictionary former means early and latter means late. I did not know that we had early and late rains.

Zechariah 10:1 Ask rain from the Lord in the season of the spring rain, from the Lord who makes the storm clouds, and he will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field.

The Bible tells us what to do for our daily lives, what to do when we plant, what season, and what to ask for. God created the seasons and the rain. He takes care of everything.
